NOVEMBER- DECEMBER 2010

WOW AGAIN! SUCH a month!

Had my THIRD show in December, most of november was rehearsals, not as bad like the other one this was rather easy since i didnt get to sing... I was The QUEEN! in the Christmas Madrigal we did the play "Everyman" it was AWESOME! as soon as we get the dvd's i will share a few clips

So now that that play is done we had a Great 9 runs, the first show was the only one that was NOT sold out... the others were OVER booked... it was excellent... word is starting to spread around about our shows... I even had 4 ppl tell me that they were dissappointed that i didnt sing! ^^ and 2 even said if i wasnt in the next one that they werent coming! now how about that!  :-)

With the new year approacing in less then 30 min.s I had come to a realization that this year needs to be different.. things have to change or they will always be the same.

SO i have a detailed plan worked out that i will post prob tomorrow. Not that anyone reads my blog but me.. but its nice to get it out there in the open maybe one day i will have a reader! ^^

SO with that said Here are a few photos from the madrigal...CANT wait for the next show... Havent auditioned yet but its going to be AWESOME! its a musical review called "decades of Love" doing songs from the 20's---90's all about love... YAH! So hopefully my voice will be back by then... i have been Terribly sick with some sort of flu since the start of Dec. the last night of the show I even had to leave the stage several times to go ... well see my dinner again!

I even gave them real tears at the end because i was SO tired mentally that i was happy that it was over and yet sad...and embarrassed all at once... its complicated being a  girl! :-/

YUP .. .thats it... I will catch you all next year!

SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER update

WOW i didnt realize i havent been on here for this long...YIKES!

Well i have new news to tell you so let me back up and give you  a quick update


SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER

Got into the 2nd play Down at the Grand Victorian... SUCH FUN... it was a hard play to do I was a Nun!!!
Sister Mary Thomas... a happy go lucky nun who sings... long story short... We had 35 days to get it together! It was A Great Run and made some new friends along the way here is a Video Clip from That show that ran in October

update on the update!

Well the second weekend of Wildcat Katie brown went well! we did cast photos on sat. , got recorded fri + sat night. On Sat Morning i went and sang at Brendas church for a benifet of some kind. not a big crowd but WAY to early to sing! lol i actually forgot some of my lyrics! which is embarrassing... but i wasnt the only one so it was all good .

i sang "funny girl" "the Wizard & I" & " Strangers"

last night i found out for the Wildlife safari that Brianna and i Are the ONLY ones singing The Watlzing matilda! lol... both of us have never heard it before! and i actually looked up the meaning of some of the words and song...and Whooo Whee! thats a demented song! lol

the bases of the song is this: a Swagman(traveler) camps out by the billabong (the lake) making some bad tea with his billy(a thing to boil water usually 2-3 pints) When a Jumbuck(sheep) comes downt to the billabong to get something to drink... the swag man then "shoves the jumbuck in his tuckerbag"(a food carrying bag) then whent he courtman comes down with the troopers(police) asking where the jumpbuck is. the swagman jumpes into the billabon and shouts "You'll never take me alive" so tech. he commits suicide and then haunts that lake where he died!

O M G!

For such a Lively tune it sure is taking on a darker meaning! its like that song "peter peter pumpkin eater" which we all know is not really a fairtytale but a news article about a man who murdered his wife and then buried her in his pumpkin patch so tech he was eating her remains through the pumpkin. *shivers*

and of course Humpty Dumpty was a man who commited suiced and the king tried to keep it quiet!

Where did i get all this info! who knows... but its part of the useless knowledge that i have!

SOOOOO Anyway.

I have to learn 3 songs by thursday, for the wildlife safari... to explain they got donated 50,000$ towards their Australian exibit and they asked pam to have a small show for the event...well most of us that are going are from the current show. so yup! I have finally made friends!  a goal i can now scratch off my list!

Next on that list...

A JOB! lol

OMG im so nervous right now, its again with dress rehearsal tonight. last night was tech night. im hoping i do better and get all the kinks out with the mics...

But like everyone says...if you have a crappy dress rehearsal then opening night is going to rock!

i hope their right!

Other then that the only thing new in my life is that we got faster internet & Cable! YAH!

now i wont miss a single episode of GLEE!!!! Desperate Houswives, V, Cougar Town & The Middle! ^^  yup those are my shows!

i did do a new song today but it was really crappy i just had to sing it to get it out of my head for awhile! haha  will let you all know how tomorrow night goes! ^^

UPDATE!+ new Song!!

OK So Whats new in Lacy's Life!

1) well the play has REALLY been taking ALOT of my time lately,
This week has been kinda of a break for me! I had Mon, Tues, but then Wed. Thurs off go back Fri. and then we dnt work on the weekends ...YET!

2) inbetween eat, sleep, rehearsals, I Clean! haha or do random projects around the house. Things have been so Hectic that i have been neglecting certain areas of the house(laundry, dishes my room?!)

seems to take Forever to get one thing done cause were kinda disorganized right now. BUT things are lookly up!

i did get chosen to sing a song in the play! ^^ im SO way Excited! But our only trouble is finding the right kind of Country love song that fits with my character. it will happen im sure of it!

other then that im good.. moms good... our Furry Friends are as hyper as ever... Life is good... just busy!

HAPPY 4th Of July!!! ^^ (Belated! haha)

Yup! its a bit late i got REALLY busy after all this, But just thought i would share!

is it perfect...NOPE! my pronunciation is off in a few spots, but without an interpreter its kinda hard learning a new language! esp one like Navajo!

Small Week update!

Ok

so this week has gone by SO fast!

Things that are slightly bugging me.....

1) The vlogging group that i am in SFV's it seems that its on haitus... since for the past 3 weeks im the only one posting vlogs! and the part that gets me is this... Right before everyone started NOT vlogging was that they all made (including myself) made a big deal about a few ppl leaving... and then someone mentioned that they wouldnt stay if ppl kept missing videos...and well THEY are missing videos too... so its like the pot calling the kettle black...  Its Annoying!

But im not sure what to say to them to get them back to vlogging... i KNOW that im NOT the favorite vlogger amongst the viewers... but lately im all they have...Losing weight is hard enough without added stress and when the 1 place you look forward to for support goes missing...its a bit dissappointing!

2) HEAT... OMG its finally starting to get hot here in OR , for the longest time it seemed that winter would just stay put.. its a bit past 80 right now... no thats not Super hot... but its warmer then the 50-60's that we HAVE been having! haha

& 3)  I WANT TO START REHEARSALS NOW! lol... im SO excited i know a few ppl who are going to come so thats awesome!

I also made a new contact down at Ace the other day, a lady called Ava (Eva?) She is thinking about collaborating with me on a song... and i think that is Awesome! it would be nice to try harmonizing with others for once! ^^

OK other then that not much going on...

WAIT I LIED!

I am proud to say that i have lost some weight this week! ^^ i was 206 for the LONGEST time... and NOW im at 203.5!!!!! i lost 2.5 pounds in 2 weeks! true its not as fast as others but Hell im finally fitting into some clothes that i couldnt wear before! i had a pair of shorts that were size 18 and now they are too big around the waist! ^^ YIPPIE!

alright enough blabbing! I will keep Ya'll posted on whats happening!

Im so happy right now i have told everyone i know through emails, blogs, YT... im still in shock... i found out about 10 last nite! right when i had JUST given up checking the web page and was about to go to bed... well didnt get to bed till about 1am cause i was SOOO hyped up after that! i woke my mom up we jumped up and down together!

SO for the next few months i am going to be BUSY! and im going to get friends!!!! OMG OMG !

im so ...there are NO words for the way i feel right now!!

A Frantic Day!

OMG!

between the Restless night... the other things happening in my life... & the Anticipation of waiting for a Call...

This turned out to be one Hectic Day!

Also we have been trying to remodel the OLD house we bought (my mom and I) and well surprise after surprise...

OUR GOAL: a window between the bathroom and kitchen

PROB: turns out that where the bathroom is NOW used to be the OUT side of the house!!! So the kitchen was an add on... *sigh* so now we can't use the stained glass window we had originally thought... SO

PROB SOLVED:
we are now going to make it like an Italy thing with the rounded top and place a plant in middle! that gives us the light & window we want... and the stain glass will go in the kitchen!

Other then that I didn't hear anything about The Cast list yet... i have been checking the site since i woke up this morning (around 9) its now 8 pm and nothing has changed...so I'm figuring that they will most likely do it tomorrow... another day of waiting by the phone! Just like waiting for a Guy to call back! i even found myself checking all the connections to make sure the phone was still working... i know pathetic! Right??!

Well we'll see tomorrow!

Dreams Vs. Nightmares

Hey All...

OK So today is the DAY!!!! The Day that i find out if i made it into our local dinner theatres play or not!!!


and OMG did last nights dreams turn into nightmares So quickly!

I had about 7 different situation dreams, all with the same plot...

Was it a YES or a NO!!!!!

I woke up Extra early cause i couldnt handle my own dreams anymore, it was getting ridiculous! Im now Extremly anxious... i broke out with a few more zits from all this...which i haven't had a break out like this since i was still a Teenager!!!! :-O

its now almost 11 am and i have been checking the site for the cast list about every 10 mins!!! haha... not sure if im going to get a CALL...an EMAIL...or JUST THE LIST!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH its too much!!!! Everthing... is just too much right now!

well i will post back with more details soon!

AUDITION!!!

Hey Everyone!

SO omg... this has been a passion of mine since i can remember! I have always loved Musical Theatre!

true that there was a time when i couldnt STAND to listen to Barbra Striesand... but as with wine... i grew better with age! ^^ although the dust has been weighing me down! haha


So yeah... today was a VERY LONG DAY! and although imExtremely tired right now and Should be sleeping right now. I just couldnt wait to say it out loud!

I think it went well overall the acting was the best part...which shocked me mentally as i have always thought that my singing would be the only thing to get me anywhere and that my acting was So So...

Well i wont know untill Friday if i made it or not...i only faltered on One part in my song... and that makes me MAD since i Know this song Well and i knew in my head that there was a tricky part in there...and i psyched myself out i guess... cause i messed up in that one spot... GGGRRRRR


BUT really i think i made a good connection with the owner Pam! we got to talk a bit more after auditions were over. So will i get the lead.... Doubt IT! but i do hope to make it for anything either a saloon girl... or the narrator Sookie Dark! ^^ or even the Saloon owner Sashay del Rio! :-D

Ok its late im pooped... and tomorrow i have to make up for the work NOT done today and do the lawn... *Le Sigh*

Hidden Treasure!

Okay so to start this off let me introduce you to my house


Her name is Shelby...as in "Shelby" DONE one day! She is an 80 yrs Gem... that has a few scratches!

My mom & I are fixing her up one thing at a time! its not he easiest thing in the world but i think she will be Marvelous in the end!

SO today's Journey was this:

I got up and whilst mom was finishing painting the service porch i went out and decide to Tackle a bit at a time the Ol' Termite Infested Shed in the back yard!

Our neighbor helped us the other day in toppling it over... and well after Several days of MORE rain! (Shocker in Oregon!) Today was actually a nice day!

So with the Sun Shining ... My Mp3 player Booming the Latest GLEE soundtrack in my ear! I hammered away the shed one bit at a time!

and here is where my day got interesting!

I had just finished peeling off the roofing to it... since that was still good and will be re-used elsewhere... Tore off the black paper, and low and behold there was a Cubby hole in the top of the roof!

And in it were 2 things...

1 was an old light fixture that still had the fabric wiring in it... yeah...Old!

& 2 was this... which i just about squealed over... there was 2 1940-ish looking shot glasses wrapped up in some kind of cellophane.

My mom and I couldn't believe that they survived the fall from the shed.


My question & curiosity is this:

WHY would anyone hide shot glasses?

How LONG have they been there?

Exactly How OLD are they?

those questions plague my mind.

Its funny that our house gave us a small treasure... its almost like uncovering a brand new sprout in your dead garden!

Which i can say our plants in front & back have Sprung into life since we got here... and our neighbor said he has never seen the plants bloom and grow like they have since we have taken over!

Well that's all the excitement i can take in one day!

A New Day!

Hey Everyone!

Not exactly who Everyone is yet! But for now its just me...here in Munchkin's Mind!

Why Munchkins Mind?

Well I will tell you... Hi My name is Lacy and well there's no easy way to say this...



I'M SHORT! lol... climbing the charts at a Whopping 5 foot tall! Weight ranging between 205-207... Right now I am on my journey in getting healthier! its a Rough road but so worth it in the end!

I started this blog because my mom has recently started her own blog for those who got kicked off or are not blogging in Protest to the A$$ of a man which we will call... HE who MUST NOT BE NAMED!! its a long story that I don't feel like sharing!

So what will my blog be about?!?! Still not sure... for now I guess the strange happening's in my life... Feelings... interest's .... Which ever comes first!
